Abstract

Quality and customers are two important factors for every organization. Good quality is usuallyfollowed by customers’ loyality. Therefore, organization should enhance their quality improvement. Thisresearch is aimed at investigating internal customers’ satisfaction in education services. Two faculties inMuhammadiyah University of Surakarta are chosen as sample, i.e. Economics Faculty and PsychologyFaculty. The result shows that most of internal customers of the two faculties are less satisfied than it isshould be.

Abstract

In fact, the difference of sex causes impact for dividing role between woman and man that it causesmany losses for woman’s position whether as a formal public worker or an agent of small business.Although it is not maximal yet, gender mainstreaming causes changing of woman’s life in nationaldevelopment (economic). Woman as an agent of small business has some opportunities and challenges.Woman’s opportunity term of policy which priorities pengarusutamaan gender for agent of businesseffects funding and improving skill that its business can increase and survive, behind of entrepreneurshipspirit and flexibility. Woman’s challenge as an agent of business is sourced on structure and culture ofthe society, which is still characterized by patriarchy. Society should realize that woman is human whois same as man that it needs acknowledgment for woman who is as an agent of small business, becausethe microeconomic activity done by woman has a significant influence on development of macroeconomic.

Abstract

The research examined the impact charismatic leadership with the setting of religious, educationalinstitution namely the Islamic boarding house more popularly known as the pondok pesantren inSurakarta residency. It was really to re-examine the research once conducted by Behling& Mc Fillen(1996) using organizational commitment called “a Syncretical Model”. It was also related to thatconducted by Bass (1990) as a dependent variable. The objective was to analyze whether the variable ofbehavioral attributes model of charismatic leadership consisting of displays empathy, dramatizes themission, projects self- assurances, enhances the leader’s image, assures follower of their competency andprovides followers with opportunities to experience success and significantly affecting the follower extraeffort. The result of regression analysis by using the instrument called the program SPSS of tenthversion showed that displays empathy, projects self assurances, and enhances the leader’ image, andsignificantly affecting the follower’s extra efforts. Whereas the behaviors such as dramatizes the mission,assures followers of competency and provides opportunities to experience success had no significantinfluence toward the followers’ extra effort.

Abstract

This research was intended to analysis factor that affect demand of the Indomie instant noodle inKartasura, Grogol and Sukoharjo districts of Sukoharjo Regency, the result of the study could indicatethat the Indomie instant noodle was kind of luxury, normal, or inferior goods. The result of analysisindicated that Indomie instant noodle was normal goods in three districts of Sukoharjo Regency basedon income elasticity; whereas own price elasticity of demand indicated the demand of Indomie noodle wasinelasticity for Kartasura, Grogol, Sukoharjo districts. The cross price elasticity of demand indicatedsubstitute commodity or complementary commodity for Indomie and related commodity in three districtsof Sukoharjo Regency. This research recomendation that increasing price of Indomie for districts whichthe demand of Indomie instant noodle was elasticity to get high revenue total, whereas for districts whichthe demand of Indomie instant noodle, was inelasticity to growing up marketing, means to increasequantity buying if Indomie instant noodle it is important to applaied decreasing price.

Abstract

Corporate governance has become an issue of global significance. The improvement of corporategovernance practices is widely recognized as one of the essential elements in strengthening the foundationfor the long-term performance of countries and corporation. It has also been linked to the broader issuesof national governance and action against corruption at all levels of society within the economicframework of countries. In business, investors would pay a substantial premium for well governedcompanies. Indonesia as one of the emerging countries needs to implement the good corporate governanceto cope with the global economy. The stream of interest in this empirical research examines theapplication of good corporate governance in companies based on annual report that affects to thecompany’s market value, measured with Tobin’s Q.

The evaluation was based on five categories of good brand name consisting ofmemorability, uniqueness, pronounceability, image, and consistency with overall corporate brandingstrategy. The questionnaire used the above five categories combined with Chiranjeev Kohli’s criteria.
